They are smaller than peaches, have a golden skin and flesh and to many they are often the first sign of summer. Their flavour is somewhere between a peach and a plum, and they blend well with peaches, strawberries, watermelon, nectarine, coconut and other tropical fruits. Apricots are full of beta-carotene, which help protect eyes and heart, as well fiber which help aid the digestion process. Here is some quick and easy Smoothies with Apricots.1) Strawberry Apricot Smoothie

If you would like to sneak in a little bit of greens, this apricot smoothie is perfect for hiding leafy greens. Try with some English spinach or other greens.

4 apricots, pitted
1 apple
1/2 strawberries
1 cup water
1 cup spinach

2) Apricot Peach Smoothie

2 apricots, pitted
1 peach
1 banana
1 cup water

3) Classic Banana Apricot Smoothie

This is a classic apricot banana smoothie, sweet and refreshing and hard to resist. A pinch of cinnamon and a bit of honey will do wonders.

4 apricots, pitted
1 banana
1 cup water
a pinch of cinnamon
1 teaspoon honey

4) Breakfast Oatmeal Smoothie

If you like to give your smoothie a real breakfast feel, why not add some oatmeal? Oatmeal is easy to add to a variety of smoothies e.g banana/berries, just make sure you blend them long enough so you get the right consistency.

4-5 apricots, pitted
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 banana
1 cup natural yoghurt
1/2 cup water
